“Please check the photos. This is the Kakiyama Koppa from Kyoto Japan. Kakiyama located in North West area in Kyoto, a mine so called Nishimono
. Quite hard, it would be a nice pre-finisher for razors, woodworking tools. Fine slurry comes out gradually but using Nagura is still recommended. The sharpening face is not flattened perfectly, please lap well before sharpening.
Apart from the sharpening face, sealed lightly.
Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”
