very rare
trolley car sign measures approximately
21" x 11"
. The lettering and graphics are black and gold. This vintage vacuum cleaner advertising features an actual female model hoisting her house cleaner overhead, accompanied by the caption:
"9 A.M. and the day's work done"
. This
Frantz Premier Electric Cleaner
sign includes wonderful and folksy text, imploring the "woman of the house" to finish her house cleaning by 9 o'clock in the morning, so that she may
"Get out into the open"
and enjoy her summer days! The sign also includes ornate artwork, picturing the housewife and her children with the caption:
"9 A.M. - And The Fun's Begun"
. I am fairly certain this cardboard sign was intended for display in a street car/trolley car, as the sign's size is typical of those....will mat & frame beautifully!!

Condition:
the offered vintage sign exhibits age/handling faults, to include corner tack/nail holes, small edge tears, creasing and some soiling in sign's center area. With that being said, the sign still displays great and is a
rare find
in
any
condition!!
