Beautiful vintage Florentine round painted wood plaque featuring a reproduction of the painting, “Madonna of the Chair” (or “Madonna della Sedia”) by Italian Renaissance artist
Raphael (1483-1520)
. Handmade in Italy for Decorative Crafts, Inc., New York.
Round plaque is approximately 4 5/8" in diameter and “Madonna of the Chair” picture is approximately 3 1/8" in diameter. Plaque appears to be in excellent vintage condition with signs of wear and age, such as minor scratches, scrapes, nicks, chips, abrasions, dents, and possibly some loss of paint (please see photos). Labels on back of plaque appear to be in excellent vintage condition. Estate sale find. Beautiful!
