Vintage Howling Coyote Ceramic Figurine Southwestern Decor Art 10.5" Signed. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This piece is a unique statue made by the artist Johnnie R. Kays in his studio Creative Designs in Penrose, Colorado USA. On the bottom it is signed by the artist himself, J. R. Kay’s.
The piece on the front of the coyote with the gem, is cracked straight across (see photo #6). It can most likely be glued together. It has two long feathers that hang down from the broken piece.
I cannot find the exact same statue online (I have tried google lens, Safari, eBay etc.) but I was able to find the signature. That led me to other pieces this artist has made and more information about him. The figure has a “stucco” like feel to it. It is matte and bumpy. It’s overall a really cool piece!
