Description
3420. Two small colorful, mechanical Valentines featuring children. Approximate size is 2-1/2 3-1/2 inches. Circa 1920s. One valentine is marked “Made in U.S.A” and the other appears to be American-made (Post-World War One).* Boy carrying tennis racket with red heart on webbing. The webbing opens to reveal a girl holding a large envelope with hearts. The die cut girl also folds-out. Faint stain to bottom edge. Light soiling and writing on the back side. The hinge folds are fragile but intact.
* Dutch Boy Valentine standing near wheel barrel marked “Valentine Special.” The die cut front folds out to reveal a large Valentine heart and Windmill. Marked on underside “Made in U.S.A.” Light soiling. Nice condition.
Condition for lot: Minor wear and soiling. Names written on back side of one valentine. Good to Very Good condition.
