Superb Pair of Antique Chinese Rose Mandarin Bough Crocus Pots with Covers
This listing is for an absolutely superb pair of Chinese porcelain bough or crocus pot dating to the first half of the 19th century. It is hard to find a pair in this form, of this quality, and in this condition. The exterior is hand painted with colorful scenes of figures all accented with gilt and showing great detail. The trim of the pots have molded designs of grapes and squirrels all done in relief. They each come with their original covers and stand about 9.4" tall. Condition of the pair is superb with only one pot just having a couple small glaze nips on the top rim and usual light wear to the applied gilding on the raised decoration.
