Higginsville is a small town with a population of around 5000 people located in western Missouri just east of Kansas City.
Research indicates that D.H. Hancock (David) was an early grocery merchant in Higginsville, Missouri.
Height is about 3-1/4 inches, about 1-7/8 inches across at the shoulder, 1-3/8 inches across the base.
Super clean and in excellent condition, no real damage, one rough spot on lip edge where glaze is missing, nicely applied handle is solid, no chips, cracks or scratches that are post-manufacture, dark blue stenciled letter is strong and is totally readable - a really fine small town Missouri example and a scarce one too - THANKS !!!
Lots of crudity and glaze streaking on the upper brown shoulder, great character - take a look.
