Mr. Hoffman made them by hand in Dayton, Ohio (where my family "started") before moving to Lakeview. Really cool story of an American company. Worth "Googling". First produced in 1952, still made today by a different company in Greenville, Pennsylvania.  "Picturing" Grandpa buying this at a local bait shop on the lake late 50's- early 60's.
