The Electric Phonograph Corporation (located at 29 West 34th Street, New York City, New York) filed for their trademark and began manufacturing the
    Phonolamp
in 1917.  The company continued production of the
    Phonolamp
until the early 1920's.  By the late 1920's, these ostentatious novelties (largely considered a symbol of wealth, and costing anywhere from to 0) had fleetingly become a thing of the past.  An economic downturn resulting from the Great Depression, in tandem with the public's burgeoning preference, changing demands, and overwhelming need for radio technology, were ultimately the variables that contributed to the Phonolamp's demise.
