Circassian Walnut Victor Victrola XVI Phonograph
A stunningly beautiful “L-Door" VV-XVI, in the rare and exotic Russian Circassian Walnut veneer finish.  Due to the Great War and the Russian Revolution, Circassian walnut ceased to be exported from Russia and only the remaining domestic stocks here in the U.S. could be utilized, resulting in relatively very few being produced.  It also cost the buyer a large premium over standard mahogany or other finishes.
This has been lovingly restored from top to bottom, preserving the original finish but lightly polished.  The beautiful cabinet measures 20" wide x 22" deep x 48" high.  As you can see from the picture, virtually every conceivable surface features the Circassian swirls and grain; even the pull-out record shelf and underside of the lid, not to mention the inside of the sound and cabinet doors, are a feast for the eyes.
The motor and components have been professionally serviced and lubricated, the Exhibition reproducer rebuilt, etc. This has a side brake but not an automatic shutoff. The nice set of original record boxes is also included.
