Description

Here is a sweet little whiskey-barrel shaped pitcher advertising "Press Club Rye" engraved on one side with "B&E Co." engraved on the other.  The only commercial brand I could find was Pittsburg Press Club Rye, a pre-Prohibition whiskey from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  This little teapot was likely used for warming whiskey toddies and came out of Central Pennsylvania, so likely the Pittsburg brand.  Height: 4.5" inches tall and measures 7" long.  Made of silver-plated "Britannia" metal in the US.  Excellent original finish, a newer scratch below the word "Club".   One or two older, shallow dents to body.  Lid fits tight and hinge good.
