2001 Oklahoma Cherokee Nation 'Banned' Indian Tribe License Plate number 0472.
It is in mint condition!  An important license plate for plate collectors, it was produced and issued in 2000 by a group within the Cherokee Nation who were frustrated that the tribe kept delaying issuance of a Cherokee license plate.  So they issued these, which did not go well with the Cherokee.  In federal court, the Cherokee Nation sought to stop issuance of the plates immediately.  That injunction was granted, no more were issued, and the plates were effectively banned from use.  Plus, no entity would recognize them as legitimate plates.  This particular license plate appears to have never been placed on a vehicle.  After 20 years, it is like new in every way.  Must see condition description and photos to fully appreciate.  Thank you!
