We love this picture of Therese. This is the mature woman. She’s been in the convent for years. It is direct. It is strong. It is a face steeped in the adoration of God. The photograph was taken on Easter Monday, April 15th, 1895, by Céline, who sits next to Thérèse, with Pauline, just out of view in this cropping.
We have restored this photo to let you draw more closely to our dear friend. Personally, we can look at this picture a long time, until we are even a little embarrassed. :) Therese’s gaze is firm and full of purpose.  In 1895, Therese started writing The Story of a Soul to explain her “Little Way.” So although not yet recognized as such by the world, you are looking at the face of a full-fledged Saint and Doctor of the Church.

    – 8.5 x 1
    1" acid-free paper
    – Archival pigments (rated to last for generations without fading if kept out of the sun)
    – Cardboard backer
    – Story of the card
    – Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
** IMPORTANT ** There is about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture, so the image is smaller than the paper.
