These plates, machined out of 1/8" 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum, will allow you to repair the door and reinforce the door latch area without body work. In addition to the three stock bolt locations there are an additional 3 holes for screws or rivets for further reinforcement. Six self tapping screws will be included with the two plates. The finish has been changed from a brushed finish to a vibratory tumbled finish, please see the images.

This auction is for both the driver side and passenger side door plate.
**It is recommended that the door hinges also be repaired as they are the root cause of the door latch mounting failure. This plate will only repair the door itself.

I designed these repair plates myself in 2008 for use on my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is the red door in the images. Since then they have gone through a few revisions to make them more aesthetically pleasing, better fitment to the contours of the door, and a larger foot print. I have also designed a plate for the 97-01 Cherokees (XJ). The plates are produced in the USA by me and sold only by me. Anything else bearing a similar resemblance is a poor copycat.
