JAPANESE STERLING & CLOISONNE BOX       SIGNED HO HO BIRDS
This is a beautifully hand crafted
Japanese
sterling (.99 pure)
and
cloisonne enamel
scholar's box.
It features cloisonne and silver center
Good Fortune Chinese symbol,
framed by  twin
Japanese Phoenix
or
Ho Ho birds,
with Lapis blue enamel background.
The all over
hand hammered box further
accented with lapis
and burnt orange enamel
medallion.
Signed as shown.
This Japanese sterling & cloisonne Good Fortune & Ho Ho birds scholar's box is six
inches across and weighs 21 1/2 standard ounces.
Never monogrammed.
In very fine condition.
Appears little, if ever used.
Rich sterling patina inside and outside.
The cloisonne work retains it original lustre, no losses.
Cover closes tight.
Two tiny bumps lower edge of cover, not visible from above.
