“Please check the photos. This is the Kaedeyama Asagi from Kyoto Japan.  Kaedeyama located in  West area in Kyoto, a mine so called Nishimono
. It's Asagi but seems not too hard, Good for chef knives, also Carpentry tools, such as Chisel, Plane, in the process of pre-finishing to finishing. Rare & Hard to find Kaedeyama it
self these days ! The feeling of sharpening with Kaedeyama is like '' Sharpening with finer slurry than Aoto'', it means strong abrasive power. There is 13mm difference in the thickness, the sharpening face inclines, I would recommend it to set on the base for keeping horizontal. Apart from Sharpening face, sealed lightly.
Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use.These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”
