Lovely old house blessing from Italy, Florentine gold gilt and hand painted gesso on wood, with lovely art of the praying child and Psalm of David with illuminated style decorations surrounding it, both pieces of the art prints applied decoupage style, all original. The praying child is adapted from the art "The Infant Samuel" by Sir Joshua Reynolds. This beauty measures 7 & 1/4" tall, 10 & 1/2" across when totally opened, and 5 & 1/4" across when closed shut. it is in very good condition with minor paint wear from age, a truly lovely piece.
