    Description

Tru Dough Political Satire Funny Money. This is one of the many different notes issued by Larry Koury of Kirkland Lake, Ontario completed with the use of his serial number printing machine in 1976.
I am in the process of selling off my extensive collection of funny money. It started in the federal election of 1962 when a Liberal party supporter handed me a free Diefendollar even though I wasn't old enough to vote. I was intrigued, and I have been searching for and accumulating political satire funny money in all their many crude to professional printings for the past 60 years. I consider them Canadian historical folk art where mostly ordinary Canadians expressed their two cents worth of mockery and anger at the powers that be. And lots of fun! But now I must downsize my possessions for fear that my heirs might one day dispose of "Grandad's Mess" in the recycling blue box. It is far better that my funny money notes all go to people who appreciate them.
