Description
Clutch assist spring for G35/350Z vehicles only. Similar in function to item201111152023
for the 370Z/G37's.
The stock assist spring that comes with these cars results in extremely poor clutch feel. The feel is vague masking the actual start of the friction zone/engagement point. This replacement spring brings back that pedal feel with minimal increase in pedal effort.
GENUINE CSC BRAND
(Spring ends are ground flat for improved fitment)

Installation
Spring location will require the pedal to be removed. Exercise care and caution when disconnecting the upper/lower switch connectors and undoing clevis locknuts. Count number of threads visible on master cylinder pushrod shaft before loosening/removing locknut.
Once pedal assembly is removed, secure it in a vise. Pedal will need to be depressed to take tension off the spring during removal. Circlip can be removed/installed with needle nose pliers.
After pedal is bolted back up and clevis reinstalled, ensure there is a small amount of free play present in the clevis/pushrod shaft with the pedal fully off the floor. You may have to readjust the upper switch to achieve this.
Note, this mod does not alter the friction zone window or change grab height. It only affects pedal feel.
