Description
This a original tin sign for Davis, Vertical Feed sewing machines. a very early sign, more then likely early 1880's.. The sign is in nice shape, Davis was located in Watertown, New York. The sign maker was A.W. Bogart, 27 Park Place, N.Y. which i was told to be in now Mannhatten. The sign could use a good cleaning. There are some blems, in the lower right corner has two distinct bends, that could be rolled out with carea bend from upper right cornerto the 1/3 position. On the upper right border looks like a very small piece missing off the nail hole corner. The clolor seems to be a whiteish silver, after cleaning it should be one or the other, my opinion is it is aged silver.Early lettering on back of sign, which may have been part of a shipping address? A great graphic treasure!! See the pictures in the description below, for true condition. The sign measures 14 1/4 inches wide by 10 inches tall, . ORIGINAL! items like this never seem to come around in good condition! A great obscure sewing/ advertising item you will not see again soon!100% original! great colorful one for your collection. I do combine wining items for postage costs. feel free to ask questions on this great sign!!Pictures sell!
