    Description

The Canada 10 Dollars issued in 2003 by the Bank of Canada is part of Canadian Journey series. This banknote that comes in in uncirculated condition features on its front the first Prime Minister John Alexander Macdonald wearing a suit. The countrys emblem, the flag of Canada, the Parliament library in Ottawa, and maple leaves in sheen colors are also depicted on the banknotes obverse. The reverse displays poppy flowers, the first verse of the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae and its adaptation in French Au champ dhonneur by Jean Pariseau. It also shows two flying doves, a female peacekeeper peering through binoculars, and Land and Naval Forces standing on vigil with two children and a veteran observing the Remembrance Day service. The 152 x 70 mm paper bill bears the signatures of Paul Jenkins and David Allison Dodge.
