    Description

    This is a hand drawn blue print, dated 1897, of a oscillating printing press by C.B.
    Cottrell & Sons of Westerly Rhode Island. The company was founded in 1855 by
    mechanic Nathan Babcock and Machinist Calvert Byron Cottrell, designing and
    making a variety of mechanical machinery. By 1868 the company focused exclusively
    on oscillating printing presses. This I believe is an original design of a printing press,
    with the design beginning date and ending date in 1897, by R.B. Seymorer. The
    design is drawn on a heavy cloth like material, adhered to a foam board, measuring
    27”x 20 1/2”in a black metal frame. I have a shop in Hope Valley R.I. if you are
