This is a vintage ca 1920s pop-up Valentine by the Campbell Art Company of Elizabeth, N.J.
It depicts a black or African American woman with applied cotton hair, playing solitaire by candlelight, with playing cards in her hand and on her lap. Very colorful with a heart-shaped base.
The printed message is "I done see a blonde wot am simply amphibious 'bout you."
Approx. 5 1/8" x 3 5/8" when folded flat.
In nice clean complete condition with some minor aging, handling, toning - see photos.
