    About the Item
    This listing is for the
"Chinese Red Foo Dog Ginger Jar Lamp".
This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. Here we have a large ginger jar with several hand painted red Foo Dogs (Guardian Lion Dogs) and a poem
on the back. This particular scene is known as "Tai Shi Shao Bao" and depicts a father/parent dragon or foo dog raising his offspring. This lamp is mounted on a wooden base and comes with 2 decorative porcelain tassels.
This lamp stands about 25" tall and is between 9.5" and 10" wide.
We disassembled the wooden base to be able to look at the bottom of the jar, and there is a red hallmark. It has been drilled through so it's hard to see which Dynasty this was made under, but it appears to be from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
Payment is due within 24 hours of auction ending.
    Condition
This lamp has been tested and works perfectly! There seems to be a little wear around the lip of the lip but the jar is in overall excellent condition.
