Antique 1 1/2 Gallon ADVERTISING STONEWARE JUG Marchand General Store CANADA

Description

This is a Beautiful Antique Stoneware Jug that advertises the "J O Girard MARCHAND GENERAL Riviere  Du Loup" which I believe is in Canada. I may have the first letter wrong "J" - it is hard to read - my best guess was "J" but look at the photo up close. I am not sure who made this...may have been Red Wing but not sure. It holds a little over 1 1/2 Gallons and measures approx 11 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" diameter at base...opening at top measures approx 1 1/8". It is in overall great condition. I don't see any chips or cracks...a few very light lines might be hairlines - not really sure as the stoneware is old and has alot of normal lines and marks. It is structurally sound and holds water nicely.
