The Royal Australian Mint re-imagines the work of a numismatic icon with this Silver Beneath the Southern Skies. In the 1960s, Stuart Deviln won a contest to design Australia's new decimal coins as the country made the change from pounds to dollars. One of his designs featured Australia and the Southern Cross, a constellation that is only visible in the Southern Hemisphere. Though the design did not make it onto coinage at the time, collectors now have the chance to own a coin with the design, as it has been re imagined for this new series. The coin was struck from 1 oz of .9999 fine silver and will arrive in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
Stunning Australia & the Southern Cross Design by Stuart Devlin
The obverse bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark against a globe background. Clark's effigy of the monarch shows her facing right wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem, as well as earrings and a necklace. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," joins the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," and the date, "2020," on the rim.
The reverse features a fresh look at Stuart Devlin's Australia & the Southern Cross design. Australia is set on a globe under the Southern Cross constellation. The coin's face value, "1 DOLLAR," is inscribed to the left, while its weight and purity, "1 OZ 9999 SILVER," are inscribed along the rim on the bottom.

Purchases of Bullion Items may not be returned or cancelled for any reason, at any time, but in the event of a manufacturer's defect; it may be exchanged for the same item, within the Company's sole discretion, if otherwise available. If the product has been altered, is not in its original coin capsule, or is otherwise in an unsaleable condition, the product will not be accepted for return or exchange. All documents and bonus items included with the product must also be returned. If the product is not returned with all original packaging and bonus items, is incomplete, or is returned after the 30-day return period, the Company reserves the right not to accept the return or to accept the return subject to a 20% restocking fee, in the Company's sole discretion. All returns with a purchase price over 0 must include a Return Authorization Number. Refunds of non-bullion items are for the cost of product only; shipping and handling charges are not refundable, unless otherwise stated by Company.
