September 1999 - Canada Through a Child's Eye
In 1999 the Royal Canadian Mint produced one proof quarter per month to celebrate the new millennium.  These quarters each have a very attractive themed design on the reverse.  Each is minted in proof finish in sterling (92.5% silver). Each theme was suggested by a Canadian through a contest.  The obverse of each quarter has the crowned effigy of the Queen.  For September the theme is "Canada Through a Child's Eye" and the design has three people holding hands to represent a united Canada. The coin in this listing will be mounted in a 2 x 2 cardboard holder.  It is 5.9 grams and 23.88 mm in diameter.
