    ld British pyx case in original condition after 99 Years of
    existence. This box is missing its original bail ring that can be replaced. It can be successfully used to contain your powder, grass, money, pills or sweets - whatever is your choice. But initially it was designed as a Pyx.
    A pyx or pix (Latin: pyxis, transliteration of Greek: πυξίς, boxwood receptacle, from πύξος, box tree) is a small round container used in the Catholic, Old Catholic and Anglican Churches to carry the consecrated host (Eucharist), to the sick or those otherwise unable to come to a church in order to receive Holy Communion.

    In used condition with minor dents, deformation and scratches. Yes, it witnessed too many ceremonies. Note those traces of the nails under heart shaped tip of the lid.. No repairs. Halves close and stay securely closed even if turned upside down.
