    Installation Instructions
    1.
Remove the old door strap by gently prying off the cover cap (if still present) by inserting a flat screwdriver under the top of the cap and gently pulling upward and outward. Be careful not to damage the cap or pull strap leather with the screwdriver. Unscrew the 2 Phillips screws holding the strap to the door.
    2.
Using a 1/4 drill bit, drill out the rivet from the inside the door strap. Do not drill the rivet from the back of the door strap but from the front recessed area under the leather handle. Repeat this step for the other side.
    3.
Install new plastic tabs to each side by placing the metal part of the door strap into the new plastic tab. The holes should align. Screw the tab onto the handle from the rear. Snug, don’t over tighten.
    4.
Reinstall the door strap to the door by inserting the original Philips screws back into the handle through the tab hole. (The short screw goes in the hole toward the front of the car and long screw in the hole toward the rear of the car). Once the handle is installed slide the cover caps over the strap first then press the end of the cap down to snap it into place.
